As we celebrate our brave veterans this weekend – many businesses will offer free or discounted items to those who have served our nation.

Ru’s Pierogi is doing its part by providing a free pierogi entrée from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on November 11 to armed services personnel (proof of current or former military service is required).

“Offering a free lunch to someone who has voluntarily put him or herself in harm’s way to protect our country seems like a small gesture, comparatively, but I hope in some way it conveys our gratitude,” said Rob Rush, general manager at Ru’s Pierogi.

Ru’s Pierogi entrees are valued at $11 for the Cheddar Potato, Banana Pepper & Cheese, Chicken Wing, Goat Cheese, Potato Ricotta and Pulled Pork varieties. Its menu also offers sandwiches and salads, Johnnie Ryan beverages and 12 locally brewed craft beers on tap.

Offer good at their restaurant at 295 Niagara Street, Buffalo.
