The Breast Cancer Network is presenting a FREE Survivor Wellness Seminar.

It’s called Mindfulness & Meditation.

WHEN: September 7th at 6:30 p.m.

WHERE: Catholic Health Admin Building, 144 Genesee Street, Buffalo.

The event, presented by Maria Kahn is a free seminar for breast cancer patients and survivors. The seminar is an introduction to mindfulness and managing the stress of a cancer diagnosis.

Each participant will learn how to recognize their own personal stress, what triggers it and how the practice of mindfulness can be used to manage stress effectively and sustainably. Finally, participants will be instructed in mindfulness exercises they may put into practice immediately.

FREE parking is available in the Catholic Health parking ramp on Genesee Street.

The Breast Cancer Network, founded by a group of breast cancer survivors, has been around for nearly 30 years. Their mission is to help support and educate survivors and their families. Run mainly by volunteers, the BCN of WNY is hoping to put themselves out of business – by helping to raise funds that can be donated to metastatic breast cancer research, in order to be part of the solution.
