It has been a very trying time for the Pike family. They’ve suffered two devastating blows over the past few months – and their community is stepping up to help.

Lakeview native Tim Pike was recently stricken with a rare blood disease that placed him into the Intensive Care Unit for nearly two months. Then weeks later, his 14-year-old son Clayton injured his back and neck while playing in the snow, severely damaging his C5 vertebrae rendering him partially paralyzed. Clayton has been hospitalized and continues his rehabilitation in an effort to walk again.

Tim has been a volunteer fireman for Lakeview Volunteer Fire Company for the past 30 years and is very involved in his community.

Now, the first responders and the rest of the community are coming together to help this family!

Friends and neighbors in Lake View, the Firefighting brotherhood and Hamburg Police Department have banded together for a fundraiser to help the Pike family out.

Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 12-2 p.m. at Hamburg Town Arena! $5 admission, kids under 12 are free.

There is also a gofundme page if you’d like to help the Pike Family.  https://www.gofundme.com/firefighter-and-his-son-need-help
