Talk about picture perfect.

A Las Vegas Photographer did a photo shoot that is a glaring reminder of why mommy shaming is NOT necessary. We are all different. We all do things our way – we do what we feel is best for our children. The truth is, sometimes there is no right or wrong way to do things – it is a choice; a preference. Yet, there is so much debate over so many topics. Breastfeeding vs Formula feeding. Technology or no technology. C-Sections vs Natural Birth – Caffeine during pregnancy – AND ON AND ON AND ON.

It’s time we all just support one another and our differences and our choices. It’s time we begin to understand that everyone is doing the best they can – the best they know how.

Abbie of Foxy Photography in Vegas shines a powerful light on why kindness and understanding matter when it comes to parenting styles.

Take a look at some of the photos of children holding anti-mommy-shaming signs.

I reached out to the photographer, Abbie – and asked why she decided to do this. Here’s what she told me in a Facebook message, “Because I was personally shamed for so many things when I was a first time mom. Now I am thicker skinned and it doesn’t bother me but I have so many friends that are really bothered by it. Even now my sons picture is being hammered and I’m getting hate messages about it. It just proves that this was needed!”

This is what Abbie posted about the photo shoot. What an amazing reminder for all of us!

“No matter how we are fed, how much tv we watch or don’t watch, whether we are vaccinated or not, our parents are doing what they feel is best for us and WE ARE LOVED.#antimommyshaming #weareloved #PSA #foxyphotography
In this technology world where we spend tons of time on Facebook and in Mommy groups we find one major thing every day… Mommy Shaming. People roll their eyes and say it doesn’t happen anymore but it is alive and well, and it can be brutal. When I was a first time mom I would cry for things people said to me, and the main culprit were other moms. Why we can’t just get along is a question I ask all of the time. If our kids are healthy, happy, and thriving, who cares if our parenting styles are different?! Yes, there are things I would never personally be able to do because of my beliefs, but I know there are things I do with my kids my friends are appalled at too. We are all doing our best to keep these little humans alive all while keeping our sanity. We all have our differences in parenting and need to realize that everyone is raised differently and have different values and things that are important to us. We need to spread a little more love around <3 So I got together with some of my amazing clients and we put this together. Each child is holding a sign of what could be deemed a “hot button” topic for some. No, not all subjects are covered. This was a volunteer project and I could not find someone to cover each subject I wanted. Make sure you scroll through the whole album all the way to the end. #antimommyshaming #weareloved #PSA #foxyphotography”
