It’s a disgusting scam that we’ve heard about in the past and police in East Aurora say it’s happening again.

They’re putting a warning out and asking everyone to share it with any elderly friends, family or neighbors.

Here is their statement,

“EAPD has been receiving complaints the past several days of older residents receiving calls from a male or female who claim to be the residents grandchild. The caller continues to say that they are out of town or on vacation and had a car accident or have been arrested and need money fast. *****Make sure to verify any call like this and do not give any information out*****”

Please pass it on!
